This course teaches you about networks, and in particular social media as related to corporate communication, within the context of Asia Pacific. Why APAC? Simply put, the region is composed of diverse and fragmented markets, many of which are socially and economically dynamic, and to complicate matters further the region exhibits a wide range of a cultural and regulatory practices. At the same time, social media and mobile adoption in APAC are amongst the highest rates in the world. Add to that low Internet penetration in many emerging markets and a rising middle class, and you have a recipe for largely increased importance of social media in the corporate communication mix.
