Open Access Resources for Law: Law Reform

Founded in 1991, the Vancouver-based International Centre is a joint initiative of the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law with contributions from the Government of Canada and the province of British Columbia. Through its activities, the Centre contributes to the priorities of Canada and the United Nations in the field of criminal law and criminal justice. The Centre is a component of the UN Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme.

The International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law is an international non-governmental association of judges, legislators, lawyers, academics, governmental officials, police and corrections professionals who have come together to work actively on the administration of criminal justice both in their own jurisdiction and internationally.

The World Law Reform Database has been under continuous development since 1988. Each record describes a discrete publication of one of the law-reform agencies in Canada, the Commonwealth of Nations, or the United States. Most of these publications are held within the British Columbia Law Institute’s library.

This project aims to make searchable from one location all of the databases specialising in Law Reform available on any of the Legal Information Institutes (LIIs) that are part of WorldLII

Provides links to law reform agencies in Canada, the Commonwealth, the United States, specialized law reform agencies, agencies in other nations partly based upon common law, miscellaneous agencies in Canada, Foreign and International.
