Zotero: Citation management software

Zotero Bookmarklet

The Zotero "Bookmarklet" is a special bookmark that will allow you to save webpages your Zotero library.

You must have a Zotero account, and your device must be online in order to use the Bookmarklet.

  1. Open https://www.zotero.org/download/bookmarklet in your browser and bookmark it.
  2. Each device/browser has different instructions.  So, read the page to find the situation that matches your needs.
  3. Generally - you will find your device/browser (for example, “iPhone/iPad”) and copy the code from the text box on the page.
  4. Edit the bookmark you just created.
  5. Change the bookmark name to "Save to Zotero".
  6. Paste the code from the text box as the URL for the bookmark.

Now, when you're on a page with a citation, you can use the Save to Zotero bookmark to save the citation directly to your Zotero library online.
