Free open access publishing deal, ACM Open, was signed with Association for Computing Machinery. Starting Jan 2023,  SMU authors are allowed to publish unlimited number of open access articles across ACM’s complete catalog of journals, conference proceedings and magazines.

In 2023, SMU Libraries signed the “Read and Publish” deal with Cambridge University Press. This allows SMU authors' articles to be made freely available, Open Access, to anyone who wants to read them, immediately upon publication, all without paying for an APC!

Suspension of service by the Chinese Government, starting from Apr 2023 until further notice.
Expansion in subscription package content which includes previous subscribed content and new areas - Healthcare, Banking Industry Risk Indicator and Operational Risk.
New content: Law Library of Congress Reports, which is a collection of more than 3,500 meticulously crafted reports on foreign, comparative, and international law.
New content added: Halsbury’s Law of Australia
New content added: Sustainability module

Number of licenses has been increased from 4999 to 7999. Resource is fully funded by DKHMCC, DKHMCC PG, HRFA.

Books 24x7 has migrated platform to Skillsoft Skillport Ebooks ITPro. Access is still via IP.

Access is through individual account instead of IP access.
