1. Good Health & Mental Well-being
- Stretching breaks – simple stretches or a short walk will improve your well-being.
- If it is a few flight of stairs, take the stairs instead of the elevators (to cut down on carbon emission as an elevator uses a lot of energy to travel back and forth) .
2. Be conscious of your printing
- Green footer tagline at bottom of email - “Please consider environment before you print this email, Save paper, Save trees.”
- Consider if there is a need to print – make it a habit to think before printing.
- If need to print, print on double sides of the paper.
3. Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose
- Choose eco-friendly products for office or pantry supplies
- Be creative and re-purpose items (eg plastic bottles/ containers, paper, funiture, etc.).
- Take Action - throw your plastics, paper, glass, cans in recycling bins.
4. Turn off all power plugs or switches when not in use
- Keeping the power plug or switch on when not in use consumes energy.
- It also helps to save energy and reduce carbon emission
5. Add plants in the office
- Plants are natural filters. They help to oxygenate the office and purify the air.
- It creates a more friendly and welcoming ambience
