About Investment & Data Studio

The Investment & Data Studio (IDS), formerly known as Investment Studio, is a dedicated space supporting data-driven learning and research, equipped with quantitative and qualitative research software, data science tools, and comprehensive financial databases. 

It consists of both a physical studio located at Li Ka Shing Library Level 3 and the Virtual Investment Studio (VIS). Users may book the physical studio for usage during the Library opening hours, and the virtual studio 24/7.

Types of Terminals at IDS

The Investment & Data Studio offers three types of terminals:

1. Data Software Terminals: Dual-screen workstations equipped with a variety of data and research software, perfect for data-driven research projects. 
2. Financial Database Terminals: Physical terminals with exclusive access to Bloomberg, Eikon, and FactSet.
3. Virtual Financial Database Terminals: Virtual Terminals with exclusive access to FactSet, and WIND 24/7 anywhere. 

Note:

* Physical terminals can be booked for use during Library opening hours. Terminals can be booked on an hourly basis for a maximum of 3 hours. 
* To ensure a smooth experience for all users, priority will be given to those who make a booking and use the terminals for research projects and assignments.
