Rules

All hackathon participants must abide by the following rules:

  • Each participant must bring, supply or use his/her own laptop/equipment during the Hackathon.
  • All participating teams must consist of minimum two (2) to a maximum of four (4) members.
  • Each participant can only join one (1) team. Each team is only allowed to submit one (1) entry for the Hackathon.
  • No changing of team members is allowed once Hackathon starts.
  • Only undergraduates, postgraduates, and administrative staff (except for SMU Libraries staff) are allowed to apply.
  • All entries submitted must be done during the hackathon and no sharing of algorithms, codes and/or data outside of participant’s team is allowed.
  • Teams must submit their source code and other files that they worked on during the Hackathon to SMU Libraries. These materials will be archived in InK.

Code of Conduct

In alignment with SMU's Code of Student Conduct, we would like to emphasize that:

  • our hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
  • We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
  • Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any hackathon venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.
  • Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from our events at the discretion of hackathon organisers.

The use of electronic resources must comply with the Appropriate Use of Electronic Resources Policy and Singapore Management University Acceptable Use Policy
