eAccess Troubleshooting Guide: Virtual Terminals

A guide to provide some tips and tricks to handle the common eAccess issues encountered.

Issues and Interventions

When the following message appears upon accessing any one of the virtual terminals: "Oops, we couldn't connect you to VT..."


Usually happens when the virtual terminal is currently in-use. Please book another time slot or terminal via the Booking System.

Sometimes, it is due to the previous user did not do a proper log off and the terminal will go into re-calibrating mode. Please wait for 5-10 minutes and try again.

User got disconnected for leaving the virtual terminal unattended There is a security policy enforced by IITS on all remote desktop sessions. If the the system detected inactivity for 15 min, the connection will be terminated without warning. All unsaved work will be gone and unrecoverable.
