Introduction

Transnational Commercial Law in Asia is a core research area for the SMU School of Law. The research focus includes corporate laws, financial regulation, trade and investment laws examined within the Asian context.

This research focus dovetails with the important research activities and initiatives carried out by the Centre for Cross-Border Commercial Law in Asia (CEBCLA) as well as the School's Research Clusters (Corporate, Finance and Securities Laws, Private Law, Public International Law, Regional and Trade Laws and Comparative Legal Systems).
