How do I use Westlaw?: Locating Specific Journal Article

International Journal Article Search: Steps

E.g. If you are trying to locate the following article: 

David Mead, “Outcomes Aren’t All: Defending Process-based Review of Public Authority Decisions under the Human Rights Act” [2012] Pub L 61


Launch the database, Westlaw

Click on ‘International Materials’ on the right side of the screen.

Click on World Journals on the right side of the screen.

Enter the article title as a phrase, eg. “Outcomes Aren’t All Defending Process-based Review of Public Authority Decisions under the Human Rights Act”

Make sure you use quotation marks and remove any punctuation in the title.  

Locating Journal Articles: Other Guides & Tips

  • Searching by citations is not very accurate, try to search by the article title whenever possible
